know the artist
Julie Johnson lives in Girdwood, Alaska. Her journey into stained glass began when her husband gifted her an introductory glass class for her birthday. One class led to another, and after the birth of her second child, Julie transformed her greenhouse into a glass studio. What started as a creative hobby has since evolved into a full-blown passion for stained glass.
Most of Julie's work is done in the traditional Tiffany style, also known as the copper foil style, although she also creates pieces using traditional lead work.
